Water mains rehabilitation & installation
Specialist mains works for utilities & principal contractors
Potable water mains renewal and associated site works, including trenchless replacement, open-cut installation, temporary supplies, connections and internal mains inspection.

Pipe Bursting
A trenchless replacement method in which a bursting head breaks the existing pipe and draws the new pipe into position behind it. We carry out the access excavations, pipe installation and associated connections. Where the existing main and ground conditions are suitable, pipe bursting reduces the length of open trench required.

Slip Lining
Installation of new polyethylene pipe within an existing water main. The replacement pipe is drawn through the retained main between access excavations, with connections and local alterations completed as required. Suitability depends on the existing bore, alignment, fittings and the requirements of the replacement main.

Mains renewal & associated works
Water mains rehabilitation
Renewal of existing potable water mains using a method suited to the pipe, route and site conditions. We undertake pipe replacement and the associated excavations, fittings and connections, working around the agreed sequence of shut-offs and service transfers.
Temporary overland supplies
Installation of temporary above-ground water mains and associated connections to help maintain supplies during rehabilitation works. We lay out the pipework, provide the required connections and transfer services as agreed with the project team. The temporary main is removed when it is no longer required.
Open-cut mains installation
Excavation and pipe installation where a new trench is required, or where sections of the existing route cannot be renewed by trenchless methods. This includes local replacements around bends, fittings, crossings and other obstructions, together with the associated connections and backfilling.
Mains connections & service transfers
Planned connections between new and existing pipework, including cross-connections, branch connections, valves, hydrants and service transfers. We coordinate the site works with the project team around the agreed shut-off and commissioning arrangements.
Water mains CCTV
Internal camera inspection of existing water mains to help identify visible defects, obstructions and changes within the pipe. The findings can support the planning of rehabilitation works and help locate sections requiring further investigation.
